Having suffered from alopecia since 2012, I swapped minoxidil for natural ingredients in 2020 and guess what? My hair is doing better. Some hairs that had not grown back for years started to grow back in just 4 months. 3 years later, my alopecia has improved and my hair is much more beautiful.
Why should you be interested in natural products to treat hair loss and alopecia?
Treating alopecia with natural ingredients has several potential benefits, although their effectiveness may vary depending on the underlying cause of hair loss. Here are some reasons why some people choose to use natural remedies to treat alopecia, as I do:
1. Fewer Side Effects: Natural ingredients tend to have fewer unwanted side effects compared to many of the chemicals found in conventional treatments. This can be especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin or health concerns. Natural remedies often take a gentler approach by working with the body's natural processes.
2. Nourishing effect: Many natural ingredients, such as vegetable oils, plant extracts and essential oils, are rich in nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They can nourish hair follicles and scalp, promoting healthy hair growth naturally.
3. A holistic approach: Natural remedies often take a holistic approach by treating the person as a whole, rather than just targeting the symptom. This can be important because alopecia can be caused by a variety of factors, including stress, hormonal imbalances, and poor diet.
4. Personal choice: Some people like me prefer to avoid chemicals on their skin as much as possible. Using natural ingredients allows you to take control of your hair health in a way that aligns with your personal values.
However, it is important to note that while natural ingredients can offer benefits, they are not always the ideal solution for everyone. Some forms of alopecia may require more specific medical treatments, and the results of natural remedies can vary. It is always recommended to consult a healthcare professional before undertaking any treatment, whether natural or conventional, in order to obtain an accurate diagnosis and advice tailored to your situation.
What natural solutions are there for hair loss and alopecia?
I suggest a routine consisting of only four elements. Three elements is not much, but you have to be disciplined and stick to it, at least for the first eight months. If you are following a minoxidil type treatment, I recommend doing this routine at the same time, and alternating the homemade lotion and the minoxidil.
- Lotion composed of specific anti-hair loss and regrowth vegetable oils: to alternate with minoxidil for the first 4 months. You use minoxidil once, you use this lotion the next time. If you have positive results, you can then try to stop minoxidil.
- Natural solid shampoo with specific ingredients: for every hair wash; abandon your industrial cosmetics
- Ayurvedic powder hair mask: once a month
- Special regrowth oil bath: once a month
