How is this oil obtained?
Virgin coconut oil is extracted from the coconut (fruit of the coconut tree Cócos nucífera). The oil is obtained by mechanical pressing without the application of heat, from the first cold pressing.
It is of superior quality to copra oil which is obtained only from coconut pulp.
